Stop by the Filling Station Sunday October 23rd before or after the Race for the Cure. We are located within minutes from the Hunt Valley Town Center, just North on York Road. We offer delicious hot coffees and lattes which can be paired with a fresh made pastry, egg sandwich, or breakfast burrito. Don’t run on an empty stomach! After the race, complete the afternoon with a hot cup of soup and sandwich. We have outdoor seating so bring your friends! Good luck!
We are happy to announce that we will be expanding our morning and evening hours at The Filling Station Coffee Shop on York Road in Sparks Maryland. We will be open Monday through Friday 6:30am-5:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday 7:00am-5:00p.m. We are still serving our delicious coffee and drink menu along with soups, sandwiches, tacos, burritos, & tamales. So grab a quick dinner on your drive home through Baltimore County, Maryland!
Our transition into the Sparks store has been going great. Many of our Falls Road customers are coming over on a daily basis. They are discovering that it is only 5-10 minutes out of their way and definitely well worth it. Saturday and Sundays have become our Falls Road support group days..Come out and see old friends and meet new ones. Sunday Brunch is coming soon! A new second location is the works, so stay tuned for details.

It is with great sadness that we are closing the Filling Station Coffee Shop at the Falls Road location on September 30, 2011. For the past 10 years we have worked 7 days a week to serve this community. We are forever grateful for the friendships, love, loyalty, and kindness that we have received during this time. It is for these reasons and more that we worked tirelessly to keep the doors open, even through the tough economy, and remained a stronghold on the corner.
Nevertheless, our lease term has expired and we are unable to renegotiate rent with our landlord.
We hope that you continue to support our second location and make the Sparks Filling Station(14910 York Road, Sparks) a daily or weekend destination. The coffee, baked goods, soups, and breakfast sandwiches will remain of the highest quality as will the customer service. Similar to the Falls Road location, the Sparks Filling Station has beautiful outdoor seating. Come enjoy the large backyard area complete with trees and a stream. We have plenty of room and indoor seating as well. Bring a friend, sit back, relax, and even connect to the Internet with our free wifi service.

Over the years we have been lucky to befriend many wonderful customers AND THEIR DOGS! Meet Ella, (one of our favorites), or better yet, take your pup on an afternoon car ride before the weather turns cold. The Filling Station is dog friendly and ideal for outdoor lounging. Savory soup is on at both Filling Station locations near Hunt Valley, Maryland. Starting October 2nd, 2010 we will be offering two selections of soup each day. Soups are made from fresh ingredients, have no preservatives and are never frozen. Selections include Hungarian Mushroom, Chicken and Corn Chowder, Cream of Broccoli, Butternut Squash and Apple, New England Clam Chowder, Chicken and Dumpling, Chicken Tortilla Soup and more…
We are coming into another great Fall season at The Filling Station Coffee Shops. The other day I was working at the coffee shop on Falls Road when a young man entered for the first time. He really liked the store and asked me how I got into the coffee business. I didn’t hesitate to hold responsible my business partner, Meg. That is when I realized we have been in business for over 7 years at our Falls Rd location, and 2+ years at the Sparks Station Coffee Shop on York Road. Wow. It has been an amazing journey for us. We have met so many wonderful people in the community. There is a real sense of community for us since opening our coffee shops. To think we would have missed out on these blessings and life lessons.
